When asked what she remembered most about working with Redford, Fonda laughed and said that she was “always in love with him. The most beautiful human being and such great values. And he did so much for movies, he really changed movies, moved independent movies forward.”

Redford, best known for his role Butch Cassidy and the Sundance KidDied on September 16, 2025 at the age of 89. His contributions to cinema have been recognized with numerous lifetime achievement honors, including a special Academy Honorary Award in 2002, the Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Award and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
