Jamie Lee Curtis takes aim at paparazzi for leaking photos from ‘Intrusion’ and Freakier Friday sets

Jamie Lee Curtis smartly took aim at the paparazzi over their intrusion on the sets of her upcoming film Freakier Friday and claimed that they wanted to keep the film private until its release. However, she clarified and teased the media by saying that no major plot or storyline has been revealed through the leaked photos and even shared a BTS picture of herself!

The Everything Everywhere All At Once actress shared a photo of herself and co-star Lindsay Lohan on Instagram – the two reunited for the sequel after the 2003 cult classic Freaky Friday. “Ok. Since other outlets posted this, I’m going to take advantage of the intrusion of a paparazzi photo into the creative process of filmmaking,” she said, referring to the picture.

The actress revealed that the team tried very hard to keep the story “secret and private” until its release. “But sometimes an image comes out, and it doesn’t tell you anything about the story or what’s happening with the characters,” she said.

The photo shows Lohan and Lee Curtis smiling and embracing each other at what appears to be a beach. Describing the photo, she said it captured the “joy and fun” they had while filming their upcoming movie.

Without revealing any details about Freakier Friday, Lee Curtis ended his post by promising people a good experience when they watch it in theaters. “This is where we all go and laugh together and sometimes cry together while eating popcorn and candy in the dark. Until then…,” he said.

Freakier Friday is the sequel to Disney’s highly-anticipated 2003 film, which starred Mean Girls alumni and Lee Curtis as Anna and Tess – a mother and daughter who switch bodies after a mysterious event involving a fortune cookie. The two then experience life in each other’s shoes.

The film was based on Mary Rodgers’ children’s book of the same name, which was previously adapted into a 1976 film starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster, which turned out to be a blockbuster. The upcoming sequel, directed by Nisha Ganatra, is set years after the body-swapping controversy. Now that Anna has a daughter, will history repeat itself?

However, the film also features several newcomers including Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell and others. Newcomers like Manny Jacinto, Sophia Hammons, Julia Butters, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Jordan E. Cooper are also set to make their mark in the film.

Freakier Friday will hit theaters sometime in 2025.
