Jait director says that the film was twisted before backlash: no filmmaker wants to hurt

Gopichand Malineni, director of actor Sunny Deol’s ‘Jat’, broke his silence on the controversy around the film’s problematic church. In an interview, he said he said “did not intend to hurt any people or community.” The scene created controversy soon after the release of April 10, in which the actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and three others were allegedly filed to hurt religious sentiments’. ,
Talk to AfternoonThe director clarified that the censor board initially did not increase any concern over the film’s trailer. However, he later directed the team to blur a background element in the final cut – some filmmakers also complied with controversy.
He said, “The censor board did not mention anything for the trailer cut, but later, it asked us to blur the background in the film print. It was done before objecting to the people. If a film is a blockbuster, it will have to be seen by more and more. No filmmaker wants to hurt any people or community. We want to entertain them.”
After the backlash, the Jat manufacturers released an official statement on Friday, which announced that the disputed scene was removed. He regretted the incident and clarified that there was no intention of hurting someone’s faith.
The statement said, “The film has a backlash for a specific scene. The scene has been removed from the film with immediate effect.
Complainant, Vikalav Gold, also expressed concern over the release of the film during the Holy Week, PTISHO of Jalandhar Cantonment Police Station, Sanjeev Kumar confirmed that the FIR was filed under Section 299, named Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar, Director Gopichand Malineni and producers of mathree filmmakers.
Meanwhile, the film is facing a difficult competition at the box office with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2’. The court room drama was released in theaters on Good Friday, 18 April.
