Malayali’s superstar Mammooty made headlines after making headlines, as their diagnosis of cancer was revealed. The actor’s team reacted against the claims. Now, John Britis, a close friend of Rajya Sabha MP and actor, has shared an update on his health.
In a recent conversation with news channel Reporter TV, the politician revealed that Mammooty has a minor health issue and is undergoing treatment for it.
According to his words, Britis said, “Mammooty is suffering from a modest health complexity and is currently getting treatment. He is fine, and I just had a phone conversation with him.”
He said, “Even though we have been friends for a long time, but we were never that kind of people who spoke a lot about our personal life. However, in recent times, we are also sharing such details,” he said. (Translated from Malayalam)
According to initial reports, Mammooty was detected of cancer. While the claims were spreading online, the actor’s team issued a statement denying the reports.
The team said, “This is fake news. He is on leave because he is fast for Ramadan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well as. In fact, after the break, after the break, he will go back to shoot Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal.”
On the front of Mammooty work, Megastar was last seen in the lead role in the film Bazuka. The Malayalam-Language Action thriller was written and directed by Deeno Dennis under his direction.
The film had the story of a businessman and gamer who was joining the hunting against a serial criminal with a police officer. Apart from Mammooti, the film featured Gautham Vasudev Menon, Divya Pillai, Siddharth Bharat, Isverya Menon and many more in many other lead roles.
While the cinematic enterprise was released in theaters on April 10, 2025, it was found with negative reviews and a tank at the box office. Now, the film is expected to hit the streaming platform Zee5 soon.
Moving forward, the actor has been designed to join the crime drama Flick Kalakamwal, which is the co-act of Vinayakan.
In addition, a Magnum Oppus enterprise is led by Mammooty director Mahesh Narayanan, which has been temporarily titled MMMN (Patriot). The film is considered an action thriller, including a multistarrer cast which includes Mohanlal (Cameo), Fahd Fasil, Kunkachako Boban, Nayantara, Darshan Rajendran, and more.
