Rajinikanth and director Mani Ratnam collaborated on the first prestigious film Thalapathy, which was released in 1991. Now, the filmmaker has taken tea on it and can fans expect them to reunite.
In a conversation with News18, the director said, “I think you should ask Rajni sir. You should see … We never know. After life, I am planning to take a break. I have four scripts in my mind, but none of them have come out completely. If nothing comes, it is the end.”
For unknown people, superstar and visionary director first worked together in Thalapati. The film was based on the friendship shared between the Hindu epic Mahabharata and Karna and Duryodhana. It depicts Surya, an orphan that lives in slums and is known for its philanthropic nature.
When he scrambles with a goon, he is accepted by a powerful gangster named Devta, and later he becomes friends. As things start coming under the joint guidance of the Sun and Dev, then things take a turn when a righteous district collector comes in the game which is also the family of Surya.
The rest of the film focuses on the film’s focus on how Surya tries to join her roots again and how her friendship with the deity develops between these events. Apart from the superstar, the film also featured actors Mammooty and Arvind Swamy as co-leaders.
Coming into the upcoming venture of Mani Ratnam, the director slate the big screen with a film starring Kamal Haasan and Silambanson TR, titled. Gangster Actioner told the story of an old -aging Yakuza like gangster Rangraya Sathivale Nicker, who has raised his foster son, Amaran to take his place in the mafia.
However, when Sakthivel is considered dead, all doubts give birth to his adopted son. Now, keeping in mind the vengeance, the former returns from its tomb, is eager to settle the score once and for all.
In addition to Hassan and STR, the film has a lot in Trisha Krishnan, Abhirami, Aishwarya Lakesmi, Ashok Selvan, Jujoo George and the lead roles.
On the other hand, Rajinikanth will kill a large screen on August 14, 2025 with the directorial cool of Lokesh Kanagarj.
