One of the most beloved crime-thriller shows, Mirzapur, is going to develop in a full-female film soon. After the release of the third season of the web show last year, the producers made an official announcement, which included Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Abhishek Banerjee and Divyendu. Recently, Tripathi opened about the status of the film.
During a recent conversation with the Indian Express, Pankaj Tripathi was asked about his upcoming projects, including high-determined Mirzapur: The Film. When asked about the situation, the experienced actor shared limited information with laughter, “Ban rahi hai a film and what Batun (it is being made, what else should I be told).”
He was further questioned whether the upcoming crime-thriller is expected to go to the past and find out the origin of his character, the origin of the carpet brother.
For this, he revealed, “Main Abhi Tak Kahni Suni Nahin Hai to Muje Nahin Pata Kya Dikhayeng Woh Log … Know what they are going to do, some will definitely be shown.
It is worth noting that last year, Ali Fazal spoke with the same publication, dropping the beans on the film’s plot. He mentioned that the film will feature him, Divyendu, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee. Considering the story of the story, he revealed that it would initially return and tell the story.
The first season of the Mirzapur series was released on Prime Video in November 2018. This was followed by the second season of the premiere in October 2020. The third season of the show was released in July 2024.
Mirzapur film is scheduled to release in 2026, produced by Puneet Krishna and directed by Gurmameet Singh. The crime thriller is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment Production.
