Director Anil Ravipudi is currently enjoying the success of Chiranjeevi-starrer Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. As the filmmaker is expected to return to the big screen for Sankranthi next year, it appears that he has finalized the lead cast for his next film.
Are Venkatesh Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil ready to share the screen?
According to a report in Gulte, Venkatesh Daggubati is ready to work with Anil Ravipudi once again. Now the news is that Fahadh Faasil can be seen as the second lead in the film.
There is also speculation that Pooja Hegde may play the lead role. However, these are just rumors as of now, as the makers have not made an official announcement yet.
The upcoming film is reportedly similar to Anil Ravipudi’s previous comedy entertainers, such as F2 and F3. The film is expected to release during Sankranti 2027, with the music and background score reportedly composed by Bheems Cecirolio.
Venkatesh Daggubati’s work front
Venkatesh Daggubati was last seen in a cameo role in Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. The Chiranjeevi-starrer was directed by Anil Ravipudi, marking the filmmaker’s first collaboration with the megastar.
The film tells the story of Shankar Varaprasad, an NIA officer who is married to Shasirekha, the daughter of India’s richest man. Despite Varaprasad’s father’s disapproval due to his middle-class background, the two fall in love and get married. However, her father’s constant interference led to misunderstandings, causing the couple to live apart for six years.
As Varaprasad struggles to repair his broken marriage, an old enemy resurfaces, threatening his family’s safety. How he balances his personal and professional battles, and whether he is able to reunite with his wife and children is the heart of the film.
Apart from Chiranjeevi, the film also stars Nayanthara, Catherine Tresa, Zarina Wahab, Harsh Vardhan, Abhinav Gotam, Sachin Khedekar, Sharat Saxena and others in lead roles.
Looking ahead, Venkatesh will next be seen in the lead role in the action-comedy entertainer Aadarsh Kutumbam House No: 47 – AK47, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
Fahadh Faasil’s next film
Fahadh Faasil will next be seen in a pivotal role in the spy action drama Patriot. Starring Mammootty in the lead role, the film stars Mohanlal in the co-lead role, with Kunchacko Boban and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the film will be released on April 23, 2026.
