However, if you want to know the main things about Apple flagships, let’s take a look at 3 reasons to buy this device and 1 reason to skip it.

Yay 1: 120Hz (finally!)

For years, Apple was criticized for not bringing high-refresh displays to the vanilla iPhone. The Cupertino giant finally changed this with the iPhone 17. The device supports ProMotion, that is, it has a 120Hz refresh rate.

In our review, we found the screen to be quite impressive with attractive colors and good brightness. However, the iPhone still has Dynamic Island.

Jai 2: Impressive performance

Apple’s new A19 chipset is used in the iPhone 17. We found that the device delivered good performance even when compared to the latest Android flagships.

The Apple flagship is capable of handling multitasking or video-rendering with ease, and you can even play games like Genshin Impact for long periods.

WoW 3: ‘Pro’ Selfie

Apple unveiled a new 18-megapixel center stage selfie camera with the iPhone 17 series. All new iPhones including the vanilla iPhone 17 received this sensor. The center stage camera allows users to take group selfies without using the phone in landscape orientation.

This can be useful for taking family photos or group selfies, and you’ll get essentially the same results as the more expensive iPhone 17 Pro models.

No: no telephoto

While Apple has upgraded the iPhone 17’s cameras, the phone doesn’t have a telephoto. This might be fine for the average user, but Android flagships like the Oppo Find X9 or Vivo X300 come with more versatile camera setups, which could be ideal for those who are more camera-savvy.
