The iPhone 16 launch event is almost here, and we might get to hear the announcement of the 2024 iPhones in the coming week. A fresh report from Bloomberg has revealed the launch date and sale date of the upcoming Apple event, suggesting that the iPhone 16 series will launch two weeks later. The prices of the iPhone 16 models have also leaked online. Here are the details.

iPhone 16 series launch event, sale date leaked

According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 16 series will launch on September 10. Citing sources familiar with the company’s plans, the report suggests that Apple will introduce four new models in the series: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The launch is expected to be the tech giant’s last big event of the year. In line with previous iPhone releases, it is anticipated that the new devices will be available for purchase shortly after the launch event starting on September 20. The move is in line with Apple’s strategy of swift product rollouts.

iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, Pro Max: Price details leaked

In a related development, pricing details for the iPhone 16 series have also surfaced, courtesy Apple Hub, which shared the information through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). As per the leak, the base model of the iPhone 16 will be priced at $799, which is roughly Rs 67,100 in India. The iPhone 16 Plus with a bigger display is said to be priced at $899 or roughly Rs 75,500.

For those eyeing more premium offerings, the iPhone 16 Pro is priced at $1,099 (roughly Rs. 92,300) for the 256GB variant. Meanwhile, the flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max is said to start at $1,199 (roughly Rs. 1,00,700) for the same storage capacity. Both the standard and Pro models are expected to offer multiple storage configurations, with the standard versions being available in 256GB and 512GB options, while the Pro variants could be offered in 512GB and 1TB options.

Keep in mind that the India prices of these models will likely be much higher, as is the case with every release. To recall, the iPhone 15 Pro was launched in India at Rs 1,34,900 and the Pro Max at Rs 1,59,900. The iPhone 15 was announced at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB storage model and the Plus model went on sale at Rs 89,900. The standard model is expected to retain the old prices, while the Pro model may see some price hike due to the upgrade. But, nothing has been officially confirmed.
