The much awaited trailer of ‘Dhurandhar’ has finally been released. Directed by Ranveer Singh, the 4-minute trailer has sparked a variety of reactions on social media platforms.
The trailer, notable for its depiction of intense violence and violence, has divided audiences. The upcoming film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun.
Many social media users have expressed excitement, while others are concerned about the potential impact of the scenes depicted in the preview. This split led to a public appeal to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Some have urged the trailer to remain uncut, while others are urging intervention.
Among the positive reactions, a user shared, “A 4 minute trailer without giving anything away, a 4 minute trailer that still feels short, a 4 minute trailer that manages to get you excited. Aditya Dhar, you have caught my attention. The dialogues, the music, the action, the cast have me hooked, now super excited for Dhurandhar (sic).”
Another viewer compared the trailer to ‘Animal’ and said, “After Animal, ‘Dhurandhar’ is the only trailer that is giving me ‘I-can’t-miss-it-in-theatre’ vibes. Awesome, but the only issue is that we don’t know how much scissors the CBFC is going to use on it. Forget about an A certificate, with so much violence, it seems difficult to release without cuts.”
The technical aspects of the trailer have also been praised. A third user commented, “Editor needs a raise. 4 minute trailer cut without revealing any bad aspect of the film. Just enough given to boost hype with glimpses of madness. Great shots. Also, another banging track (though not better than the first one, but still catchy). (sic)”
Despite the enthusiasm, some voices have called for caution regarding the level of violence. Stand-up comedian Amit Tandon shared his concern and wrote, “‘Dhurandhar’ trailer is so bloody. Can we please cut the first 15 seconds? (sic)”
