International Yoga Day 2024: Guidelines on what to eat and what not to eat:

As mentioned earlier, yoga promotes a holistic approach towards healthy living; this essentially means that along with yoga practice, nutritious diet is equally important for a healthy lifestyle. Your diet plays the role of a catalyst in the practice and benefits of yoga. According to experts, people are advised not to eat heavy meals before their workout. Have a light snack or fruits like banana or nuts, seeds and berries an hour before the yoga session. After the yoga session, drink plenty of water to replenish fluids in the body; you can also consume beverages like coconut water, lemonade, etc. Avoid overeating after the yoga session and instead, eat healthy and nutritious food, which is light and easy to digest.
