Inside Dharmendra’s prayer meeting: Memories, emotions and a musical tribute
A musical tribute was reportedly given during Dharmendra’s prayer meeting in Mumbai. The Deol family and several celebrities from the film industry gathered in Mumbai on Thursday to remember the iconic actor.

A musical tribute was reportedly given at a prayer meeting held in Mumbai to celebrate the legacy of actor Dharmendra. The ceremony titled ‘Celebration of Life’ was organized by the Deol family at the Seaside Lawn, Taj Lands End, Bandra.
According to an ANI report, a heartfelt musical tribute was given in honor of the late actor. It also said that the entire Deol family including Sunny, Bobby and Karan expressed their gratitude to the people present by folding their hands in support.
Those present included Salman Khan, Rekha, Shabana Azmi, Manish Paul, Ananya Birla, Nimrat Kaur and Pooja Hegde. His presence underlined the importance of Dharmendra’s contribution to the industry and the collective sense of loss felt by generations of actors and filmmakers.
Dharmendra, who died on November 24 at the age of 89, had a career spanning several decades and left a lasting impact on popular culture.
Dharmendra’s last rites were first performed at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle. Many well-known actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were seen arriving at the cremation ground to express their condolences to the Deol family.
Other prominent celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Saira Banu, Abhishek Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salim Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Rajkumar Santoshi, Anil Sharma and Siddharth Roy Kapur were also present.
Dharmendra is survived by his first wife, Prakash Kaur; his second wife, actor Hema Malini; and six children: Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeta and Ajeeta from his first marriage, and Esha Deol and Ahana Deol from his second marriage.
