Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar capped off their wedding celebrations with a grand reception in Mumbai, attended by family, friends and film celebrities. The video of Himesh Reshammiya’s live set and the pictures shared by Ori have gone viral.
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar celebrated their wedding with a grand reception in Mumbai on Tuesday, two days after their wedding on July 6. The event was attended by family members, close friends and several celebrities, with singer and composer Himesh Reshammiya performing live for the guests, the newlyweds and Anshula’s brother Arjun Kapoor.
The reception included several moments that later surfaced on social media, including Himesh performing at the wedding, Ori sharing inside photos from the evening, and Alia Bhatt posing with him at the venue. Arjun Kapoor also came out to welcome the paparazzi at the end of the night, thanking them for covering the ceremony and asking them to have dinner before he left and go home safely in the rain.

Ori offered a glimpse inside the reception through photos from the night. The pictures showed him with guests including Khushi Kapoor, Rekha, Boney Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya. Alia Bhatt was also seen posing with Ori in the happy pictures of the reception.
The reception was attended by members of the Kapoor family including Boney Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor. Film celebrities present included Rekha, Varun Dhawan, Bobby Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, Atlee, Shabana Azmi, Himesh Reshammiya, Jackky Bhagnani, Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza.
Himesh Reshammiya’s performance was one of the highlights of the evening, with the reception video featuring him singing his popular tracks You made me the lover And get a glimpse. The newlywed couple was seen dancing to Himesh’s hit songs with Arjun Kapoor.
The guests also included Ranveer Singh, who joined Arjun Kapoor and Himesh Reshammiya on stage.

Arjun was seen playing host at the reception, greeting photographers with folded hands and posing for pictures. Dressed in traditional attire, he thanked the media for covering his sister’s wedding celebrations. Since the reception took place amidst heavy rain in Mumbai, he asked the photographers to complete the work, eat before leaving and go home safely. Arjun looked emotional and happy as Anshula celebrated the occasion with family and friends.
The reception also included a table decorated with retro cassette tapes, old school sweets and vintage memorabilia, including cassettes such as Pop of the Pops, adding 90s nostalgia to the celebration. In one of the pictures inside, Rohan Thakkar was seen in a T-shirt that read, ‘Boyfriend + Fiance = Husband, EST. 2026.’ The couple was also seen dancing at the reception.
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar, who started dating in 2022 and got engaged on October 2, 2025, tied the knot on Monday before ending the ceremony with a Mumbai reception.
