As expected, Infinix today announced its new Zero 40 series smartphones Zero 40 4G and Zero 40 5G. Both phones feature curved AMOLED displays, 108MP main cameras, and 5,000mAh batteries with 45W charging. The 5G variant has a more capable chipset, wireless charging, and a few other differences.
Infinix Zero 40 5G
The Infinix Zero 40 4G/ Zero 40 5G feature a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, up to 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Zero 40 refreshes at up to 120Hz, while the 5G variant gets a 144Hz panel. Both phones also feature a 50MP front-facing camera (JN1 sensor) and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the back, both phones feature a 108MP main camera with Samsung’s ISOCELL HM6 sensor (1/1.67-inch) and OIS. This is accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The Zero 40 5G records 4K video at 60fps while the Zero 40 tops out at 2K resolution at 30fps.
Another interesting feature is the GoPro mode, which lets you connect the Zero 40/40 5G to a compatible GoPro camera and use the phone as a viewfinder and control shooting modes directly from the camera app. The phone also comes pre-installed with the GoPro Quik app.
The Zero 40 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset paired with 12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage, while the Zero 40 packs the Helio G100 with 8GB RAM and 256/512GB storage.

Both phones run on XOS 14.5 based on Android 14 and get 3 years of security patches and two Android version updates. The Zero 40 has Wi-Fi 5 connectivity while the 5G variant gets faster Wi-Fi 6e support. Both phones are equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery and 45W wired charging. The Zero 40 5G also supports 20W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.
