Aamir Khan was still in the early stages of his career when he acted in Indra Kumar’s film Dil. This film was Aamir’s first major success after the success of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. In a recent interview, Indra revealed that Khan had eight consecutive flops after QSQT and recalled that ‘he was blessed with a heart and the way his career took off from there, he never looked back. saw.’

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Indra Kumar revealed that Aamir Khan had to face eight flops after the success of Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. He emphasized that despite Aamir’s honest efforts, the success of a film ultimately depends on the director.

Indra reflected on how important the success of Dil was, saying that if the film had failed, both he and Aamir would not have had good careers. He praised Aamir’s talent and said that he needs the right opportunity. According to Indra, Dil proved to be a turning point and Aamir’s career took off from there and he never looked back.

Aamir and Indra Kumar collaborated on two other films, Ishq and Mann. Reflecting on Mann, which also starred Manisha Koirala and Anil Kapoor, Indra admitted that he felt there was something wrong with the project.

During production, Aamir himself had expressed doubts about the film. Indra remembers Aamir telling him on the set, “Indu, this film is going in a different direction.” Khan admitted that he was feeling uneasy about the project, but Indra reassured him, saying that they had already discussed the matter and he needed to be confident in his work.

Mana failed to perform well at the box office and received a lukewarm response from the audience. When asked whether Aamir Khan was “distracted” during the shooting of the film due to his divorce from Reena Dutta, Indra Kumar dismissed the claim as false.

He praised Aamir’s unwavering professionalism, saying, “When Aamir comes to work, he brings no personal baggage. His performance in Mana is one of his finest performances.” Indra took full responsibility for the film’s shortcomings, saying, “If anyone failed in that film, it was me, not Aamir.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir will next be seen in Sitare Zameen Par alongside Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary.
