Indian-American health advisor fired over sex party, lied about vaccines

Indian-origin doctor and New York City’s former COVID-19 czar, Jai Verma, is facing severe criticism for lying under oath that vaccination is the only means of stopping the spread of the coronavirus. It comes after hidden camera footage emerged showing New York City’s former COVID czar Mr Verma claiming to have attended drug-filled sex parties during the pandemic.

Jay Verma, who was a senior health adviser to former Mayor Bill de Blasio during the height of the pandemic, confessed in newly released footage that natural immunity against the virus is just as effective as vaccination. “It doesn’t matter… everyone has been exposed to this virus. Whether you have come in contact with the virus because it has come inside you or it has been injected into your body. It’s the same immune response,” he said, according to the NY Post.

However, during several lawsuits against the COVID orders, Mr. Verma gave contradictory testimony, including that, “The COVID-19 vaccine provides greater protection against reinfection to individuals who have been Had prior COVID-19 infection.”

Controversy arose when footage filmed from a hidden camera and released by podcaster Steven Crowder showed Mr Verma discussing the limitations of vaccine mandates. Critics have since accused him of perjury, leading to increasing calls for legal action.

Councilwoman Joan Arriola (R-Queens) has accused Mr. Verma of committing perjury or lying under oath, and asserted that his misleading testimony led to mandatory vaccinations that harmed many New Yorkers. . Ms. Arriola said, “Dr. Verma swore that the vaccine is the most effective way to stop the spread of new COVID strains, but in captured footage, he privately admits that, in fact, there is no difference between vaccination and natural immunity It is,” Arriola said. “This is sheer perjury. , , Thousands of people have lost their livelihoods due to perjury – and he must be held accountable for his actions.

Jai Verma has not publicly responded to the allegations, although he previously described the hidden camera footage as “cut, distorted and taken out of context”. He was also recently fired from SIGA Technologies after revelations that he attended drug-fueled sex parties during the pandemic.
