India Today AI Summit begins today, promising thought-provoking discussions by global AI leaders
On the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, India Today Group is hosting AI Summit 2026. The day-long summit will feature thought-provoking and engaging discussions from global AI leaders on diverse issues and aspects related to AI.

AI is the flavor of the season. It is also something that is increasingly becoming an important part of our lived reality, touching every aspect of life from education to health and career to leisure. As India is hosting the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, India Today Group is organizing a one-day event to discuss various aspects of AI and how it is impacting our lives. The discussion, which will feature participation from top AI leaders, aims to foster conversations that will help advance India’s AI.
The India Today Summit will bring together the tech industry, which is driving the pace of innovation in AI, as well as the Government of India to determine how this innovation can be used in the safest and most useful way to benefit the country and its people.
Speakers and panelists who will be part of the summit include Jitin Prasad, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary, MeitY and CEO, India AI Mission, and Dr. Aaron ‘Ronnie’ Chatterjee, Chief Economist, OpenAI.

India Today AI Summit 2026 is a one-day event which will feature diverse discussions in different sessions. While the session “Jobs, Environment Development and Society in the Age of AI” is expected to discuss the impact AI can potentially have on growth and jobs in the country, the session “Implementing India’s AI Mission” will see Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, highlight government efforts to ensure that AI benefits the entire country in a more holistic manner.
In a separate session, Vishal Sikka, Founder and CEO of Vianai Systems, will address “Can India Win the AI Race?” Meanwhile, Eric Akuden, CTO of Ericsson, will in his session explore the concept of Sovereign AI and how the world can have AI for everyone.
These are just a few sessions. There are also several other sessions, each aimed at discussing a specific topic ranging from careers to health in the age of AI.
