India is sending about 15 tonnes of relief material to Myanmar after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, and 6.8 magnitude after 6.8 magnitude on Friday afternoon killed the country and damaged massively and more than 150 people lost their lives. Relief material is being sent to Myanmar on an IAF C 130 J aircraft from Hindon Air Force Station.
Relief materials include tents, sleeping bags, blankets, ready-to-eat food, water purifiers, hygiene kits, solar lamps, generator sets and essential medicines, including paracetamol, antibiotics, canula, syringes, gloves, cotton straps and urinary bags.
India sent the first installment of immediate human assistance to the people of Myanmar.
Earlier on Friday, after the earthquake, after Myanmar and neighboring Thailand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi helped and said that the country is ready to provide all assistance. Shocks were felt in many Indian cities including Kolkata and Imphal.
In a post on X (East Twitter), PM Modi expressed concern and prayed for the safety and welfare of all.

Earthquake rocks Myanmar, Thailand
The United States Geological Survey said that the earthquake’s sub -center was 16 km north -western in the north -western city in the north -west, and at a depth of 10 km. Flat buildings, broken bridges and torn roads were seen in Myanmar.
Junta chief Min Aung Holling said that 144 people were killed, 732 were confirmed injuries, but warned that the toll was “likely to grow”.

“We look at many bodies under the rubble. We will take time to bring out the bodies to avoid any further collapse,” internal minister Anutin Charnavirkul asked reporters.
Eight deaths have been confirmed so far in Thailand. However, Charverakul believes that toll is expected to grow, as it is unable to 90–100 people.
Emergency in Myanmar, Bangkok
Myanmar declared an emergency situation in six worst affected areas after the earthquake. Hundreds of casualties were found in a major hospital in Naypidav, where the entrance of the emergency department fell on a car.
An emergency area was declared in Bangkok, where some metro and light rail services were suspended.
