“I think it’s very unfair,” he said, arguing that the term “influencer” is largely a marketing label. Triveni pointed out that artists from different fields impact the audience in different ways, be they digital creators or established film stars.

Triveni also rejected claims that Dharana was cast because of her number of followers. The director praised his work as an artist and emphasized that creators who create characters and entertain audiences online are already actors in their own right.
“I’m not so insecure that I’m like, ‘Oh, they have so many million followers, so I’ll cast them.’ Madhuri Dixit, Trupti Dimri and Ravi Kishan are with me in my film. I don’t need those little tricks. He has been selected for this role. It’s as simple as that,” he said.
