Nayanthara recently gave a special treat to her fans on her official Instagram handle by sharing a sneak peek of her next film. The actress’ upcoming film stars Dada and Star fame Kavin in the lead role.

The film marks the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, an assistant director to Lokesh Kanagaraj and popular lyricist.

Nayanthara shares first look of her next film with Kavin

According to an early report by Indiaglitz Tamil, the film has already begun with the Muhurat Puja a week ago. The film is a romantic story between a middle-aged woman and a young boy, played by Nayanthara and Kavin respectively.

In the new glimpse shared by the actress, both the actors are seen having a romantic moment while staring at each other. Even though the film is expected to be a love story, an official confirmation about the same is still pending.

Moreover, it also marks the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan who has worked as an assistant director for Lokesh Kanagaraj in films like Kaithi, Master and Vikram. The director is also a popular lyricist for Leo and even penned the first single Fear Song from the upcoming Jr NTR starrer Devra in the Tamil version.

At the workplace

Kavin, who has been a prominent face in Tamil cinema, television and web series, was last seen in the film Star directed by Pyaar Prema Kadhal fame Alan. The film was a romantic drama that depicted the story of an actor who wants to make it big in cinema but faces many challenges along the way.

The film featured Lal, Aditi Pohankar, Preeti Mukhundhan and Geetha Kailasam in lead roles but received mixed reviews, especially criticism of the script. The actor will next be seen in films like Kiss, Mask and Bloody Beggar.

On the other hand, Nayanthara who was last seen in the film Annapurani: The Goddess of Food will be seen in the lead role in the film Taste alongside R Madhavan and Siddharth. The actress is also playing the lead role in Mannangatti Since 1960 and her Malayalam film Dear Friends.
