Recently during an Instagram Live session, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh was asked about the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has made it clear that he does not want to be associated with protests or political debates. Recently during an Instagram Live session, the actor-singer was asked about the ongoing protests at Jantar Mantar led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). Responding to the question, Diljit said that he was unaware of the protest and insisted that he preferred to stay away from such political matters.

Responding to a fan’s question, the 42-year-old singer said,Where is Jantar Mantar for protest? Brother, keep me away from things like protests.. Brother, I am an artist. I am not a leader. I can never get everything right in life. Everything can’t be right in this world

(What kind of protest are you talking about? Brother, keep me away from protests and such things. I am an artist, not a politician. Everything can never be perfect in life. The world can never be completely free from problems).

He also quoted a line from Guru Granth Sahib, “Nanak, the whole world is unhappy, so is the happiness based on the name.

Concluding his response, Diljit wished both the parties well, reiterating that he is unfamiliar with the issue and hence has no further comment.

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has staged a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where workers are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over repeated exam paper leaks and alleged irregularities.

The latest protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar was attended by students and supporters from different states, many of whom gathered to demand greater transparency and accountability in the examination and recruitment processes.

The protest received support when climate activist Sonam Wangchuk also participated in the hunger strike.
