So I counted the days from my father’s birthday until he died, and from my birthday until I woke up. It was the same number of days.”
He added, “I became bigger than my dad that night. I still feel like he’s in my heart and stuff, but it’s… you become… it’s hard to explain.”
Talking about Dennis’ life story, Roker, who turned 70 the previous day, said, “The thing is that my father passed away at the age of 69. I always felt sad that he couldn’t live to be 70. It’s a strange feeling to return to this world after your father’s death.”
