"Iftar really special to me, not just for the embassy," UAE messengers say for India

UAE Ambassador Abdulnasar Alshali on Thursday emphasized the importance of Iftar celebrations, given that it has become “really special” for his and the embassy.

He shared that the embassy first hosted an iftar ceremony a few years ago, and since then, it increased in a large and more important event every year.

Talking to ANI, he said, “Iftar has become really special for me, not only for the embassy. We hosted it for the first time a few years ago. It became a big and big event every year.”

In addition, Alshalshali emphasized that Iftar ceremonies occupy the essence of compassion and values, which the UAE is proud and wants to share with India. He also referred to the inauguration of the BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi as an example of strong relations between the two countries.

“Tonight Iftar takes the essence of the compassion of the UAE here … You have seen it in Iftar and in the celebration of the birth of the Prophet, its part is doing Iftar and celebration, but a part of it is also happening to express that the UAE is occupying all the values ​​that are proud and want to share with India.”

He said, “And it is also that the BAPS temple was opened in Abu Dhabi, as it is a relationship and relationship with India … (India-AAE relations) are getting stronger … in the economic and business sector and also in the field,” he said.

He also announced that a high-level trip is going to take place in April, which is expected to have another success in a series of high-level meetings between the two countries.

He said, “There is a high level journey … it is happening in April. We are all ready for it, and hopefully, it would be another success to be added to the list of high-level meetings,” he said.

Earlier in the day, the ambassador hosted the Ramadan Iftar ceremony at the UAE Embassy in New Delhi.

Senior dignitaries, diplomats, government officials and business leaders participated, the event highlighted deep cultural relations between UAE and India for a long time.
