IFFI 2025: Dharmendra to be honored at Goa fest but 4K Sholay screening canceled
The organizers of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will honor Dharmendra at the closing ceremony of the festival. Meanwhile, the special screening of the classic film Sholay has been canceled due to technical reasons.

The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Panaji has been held to honor late actor Dharmendra, who died in Mumbai on Monday at the age of 89. Emotional tributes were paid to him following his death and changes were made to the programme, including the cancellation of 4K-restored screenings. cinderWhich was scheduled for 26 November.

Magdam said, “The motorcycle displayed at the festival complex was introduced as a special attraction to mark the celebration of 50 years of ‘Sholay’ this year. But it has now also become a tribute to Dharmendra ji, as when visitors see it they can’t help but remember the iconic song ‘Yeh Dosti’ and his unforgettable presence.”
Dharmendra worked in more than 300 films in his 60 year long career.
