Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event in London today, where it is expected to unveil its next generation of foldables alongside the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Ahead of the launch, full specifications and prices of the upcoming smartwatch have been leaked.
According to the leak, the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy Watch9 is said to offer 32GB of onboard storage, while the Watch Ultra 2 may come with 64GB of storage.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is likely to feature a 1.52-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch9 will be available in two case sizes, with the 40mm variant featuring a 1.34-inch screen and the 44mm featuring a 1.47-inch display, both with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Both the Watch9 and Ultra 2 are said to use sapphire crystal protection.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is said to have an 800mAh battery, while the 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch9 models are said to have 390mAh and 445mAh batteries respectively. Both smartwatches are expected to support WPC-based fast wireless charging.
Additionally, the leak suggests that the upcoming Galaxy smartwatch will feature Samsung’s bioactive sensors as well as temperature sensors, barometer, and geomagnetic sensors.
On the software front, the Galaxy Watch9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are said to come with Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 watch. Connectivity options are tipped to include LTE, Bluetooth 6.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS.
Finally, the Galaxy Watch9 is rated IP68 and 5ATM for dust and water resistance, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is said to offer a higher IP69K and 10ATM+ rating.

As far as price is concerned, the 40mm Galaxy Watch9 with Bluetooth is said to be priced at €409, while the LTE variant could be priced at €459. The 44mm Bluetooth model is said to be priced at €439, with its LTE counterpart reportedly priced at €489.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be available only in an LTE variant and is expected to launch for €749.
