IDC: Q2 has increased by 13% in global tablet shipment, Apple takes the way

According to the latest report by the International Data Company (IDC), the global tablet shipment increased by 13% during the April-June period, reaching 38.3 million units. The rising shipment volume was largely operated by replacement cycles, new device launch and state subsidy in China. Many brands also stocked the inventory in tariff’s request, which also played an important role in the rising shipment.

Apple led the Global Tablet market in Q2 with 12.7 million shipments and 33% market share. Cupertino’s base iPad (2025) was the major driver for the brand, which saw an increase of 2.4% year-on-year in the total shipment.

7.2 million shipments for the Samsung period and 18.7% market stake came second. The Galaxy Tab series proved to be popular in Latin America, Middle East and Europe.

Lenovo scored the top three with 3.1 million shipments and the top three with 8.2% market share for strong demand for its tab M series. The state subsidy of China also increased the demand for Y700 and Xiaoxin pad Pro model.

The fastest growing company in terms of Amazon shipment was the expansion of more than 200% in the fire range, with Lenovo tied with 3.1 million shipments and 8% market share. Xiaomi came in fifth place with 2.8 million shipments and 7.4% market share thanks to the strong demand of its pad 7 and Redmi pad SE model.
