I learned to survive: Rajpal Yadav talks about his jail days

Rajpal Yadav spoke openly about his disciplined life in Tihar Jail. Speaking about his ongoing struggles, he thanked the film fraternity, and said that he is looking forward to his upcoming film, Bhoot Bangla.

Actor Rajpal Yadav recently shared his experiences of his time in Tihar Jail in a conversation with filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan. He talked about the discipline required to stay in prison and expressed his gratitude for the support he received from fellow actors and filmmakers during this challenging period.

Rajpal Yadav remembered his jail days

While appearing on Farah Khan’s vlog, Rajpal Yadav prepared mixed vegetable rice, a dish he created during his struggling days in Mumbai when he lived with many others. When asked if he was assigned any duties in the prison, he clarified that the situation never escalated to that point. However, he stressed on the strict discipline required to spend time properly in Tihar.

Yadav said,That was not the case, but a lot Discipline Had to stay there since and reasonable time had to spin (The matter did not reach that point, but there had to be a lot of discipline and time had to be given properly).” He further added, “i every Situation i have learned to live (I have learned to live in every situation).”

The actor also acknowledged the financial and moral support he has received from the film fraternity. Actor Sonu Sood was among the first to publicly support Rajpal, urging filmmakers to offer him work with small signing amounts to help him repay his debts. Salman Khan, David Dhawan and Priyadarshan, among others, reportedly also extended a helping hand.

About Rajpal Yadav’s loan and legal case

In February this year, Yadav surrendered before the authorities and was sent to Tihar jail in a Rs 9 crore loan and check bounce case. He was granted interim bail on February 16 after depositing Rs 1.5 crore.

The case dates back to 2010 when Yadav had taken a loan of Rs 5 crore from a Delhi-based company for his directorial debut film. Address missing. The film’s failure led to financial losses and legal disputes. In 2018, a court convicted him in a check bounce case and sentenced him to six months in jail. After the decision was upheld in 2019, the total liability increased to around Rs 9 crore.

After granting interim bail to Yadav, the Delhi High Court extended his relief by saying that he will not be taken back into custody after the interim order is cancelled.

The actor’s recent request for a 30-day extension to arrange the loan amount was recently rejected, with the court reserving its decision.

Looking to the future, Farah Khan is set to begin work on her new directorial project with Shah Rukh Khan later this year, though details have been kept under wraps. Rajpal is awaiting release ghost banglaA horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan, starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. This film is going to be released on 17th April.
