Actress Sonakshi Sinha has released a strongly worded video statement in support of Sonam Wangchuk. Hunger strike in New DelhiAmid the ongoing protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). In the video, he expressed concern over Wangchuk’s health and said that he cannot be ignored now.

“I have never made such a statement, but today we cannot ignore her. Sonam Wangchuk. We all know her. We know what she has done for our country, what are her achievements and how many awards she has won,” the 39-year-old said in her statement. Referring to the 18th day of his fast, he said, “He is hungry. He has not eaten anything. Who is he doing this for? He is doing this for the future of children who lost their lives. He is fighting a system that is not working properly. I know this. You know this. We all know this.”

He also raised questions on those who are still silent and are not speaking in support of Wangchuk. She said, “Many people are still silent. I cannot remain silent. Whatever will happen, let it happen. No problem. I cannot remain silent.” Sinha urged the government to initiate talks with Wangchuk, saying, “Why is no one listening? No one cares. No one is ready for talks.” He said now is the time to speak up and said, “I am not anti-national.”
