Hyderabad court summons Allu Arjun as accused in Sandhya theater stampede case

Nampally Court has summoned Allu Arjun to appear on June 22 in the Sandhya Theater stampede case. The hearing comes as the injured boy’s family grapples with long-term treatment and ongoing support.

Hyderabad’s Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun and asked him to appear in person on Monday, June 22, for the hearing in the Sandhya Theater stampede case. Chikkadpally police have named the actor as accused number 11, while the management of Sandhya Theater has been listed as accused numbers 1 to 10.

The court has issued summons to 19 accused in the case, while the police have already filed charge sheets against 23 people. The stampede occurred during a special show on 4 December 2024 Pushpa 2 Evening at the theatre. In this incident, a woman named Revathi died and her son Shri Teja suffered serious injuries.

In a recent development following the incident, Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun’s wife Sneha Reddy visited young Sretej’s house and met his family. Reports say he asked about her condition, spent time with the family and assured her of continued support during her recovery.

Court Summons and Case Details

According to Allu Arjun’s legal team, “Nampally Court has issued summons to actor Allu Arjun to appear in person in the court for hearing on Monday. We will give more details about this case later.” The case has now moved forward with the court issuing summons to Allu Arjun and other accused persons in the Sandhya theater stampede case.

Meeting with Shritej’s family

Reports say that during the visit, Allu Aravind also promised educational assistance for Sretej’s younger sister. He is said to have told the family, “Study well, I will bear all the expenses of your education.” Reports say that the Allu family as well as the production banner are involved. Pushpahas been helping with Shretej’s medical expenses since the incident and this support continues as he undergoes rehabilitation and long-term medical care. Visuals from the trip were later shared on social media by a fan page dedicated to Allu Arjun.

Shritej’s treatment and recovery

Shritej got injured in the stampede during this period. Pushpa 2 Premiere event on 4th December 2024 in Hyderabad. He was initially admitted to the emergency department in a semi-conscious state after suffering injuries outside the evening theatre. He remained unconscious for a long period of time and subsequently developed respiratory failure and severe neurological complications, requiring ventilator support for several weeks.

After spending nearly five months in intensive care, he was discharged in April 2025 and later shifted to a rehabilitation center in Ramgopalpet for continued neurological treatment. Earlier in 2025, his father Mogadampalli Bhaskar had told TOI City“There has been barely any improvement in his health. My son is still struggling to recognize us. He mostly just stares, with very little emotion on his face. He is currently undergoing speech and swallowing therapy. We are hoping for his recovery.” The family had already received financial support, and the support is reportedly continuing as Shretej remains in care.

The case is now before the court as proceedings against the accused persons continue, while Revathi’s family and the injured Shretej grapple with the consequences of the 2024 stampede.
