Actor Hugg Grant has criticized a heathro immigration officer about a “creepy” encounter while traveling with his family, portraying online mixed reactions.

Noting Hill Star expressed his anger over X after the incident, which he accompanied his wife, Anna Elisbet Ebertytein and three of his children passing through the airport at the age of 12, nine and seven.

“The bus came through his wife and children through Heathro. We all have the same last name (grant) on our passport,” Grant wrote. “Immigration officer attachs my children to chit chat, then whispered them ‘Are they your mother and father?’

Grant, 63, who has two children with former-partner Tinglan Hong, aged 13 and 12, described the moment as uncertain, despite what he vested was a clear family identity.

However, many online were quick to reduce the concerns of the actor, with many immigration officers’ actions with rescue as a standard safety measure.

A user replied, “They, just if you have kidnapped them (SIC),” a user replied, suggesting that the officer was only doing his work. Another said, “I would hardly call it creepy (SIC).”

Some others defended the experienced actor. “I don’t know what is bad, that scary whisper or the fact that the officer did not clearly recognize you (SIC),” he wrote.

On the professional front, Hug Grant was recently nominated for a BAFTA for his role in the 2024 thriller Heritic. He also repeated his role as Daniel Clever in Bridget Jones: crazy about the boy.
