Dhurandhar collected Rs. Earned around Rs 3.25 crore on its sixth Friday. This represents a decline of about 10 percent from the previous day, which is a pretty good hold in general, but even more so considering that last week’s weekdays were particularly good and this week there was competition from a major new release, The Raja Saab.
This is not a record of the day *gasp*, what a flop!
It is second only to Stree 2, which created a record with Rs. 4.50 crore, helped a lot by huge discounts on ticket prices on National Cinema Day. Despite this, the bullion will set a new record in the sixth week, as it will comfortably cross Rs. 20 crores, possibly Rs. As against Rs 25 crore. Rs 17 crore for Stree 2. There will be holidays on weekdays in various parts of the country, which should help further.
Dhurandhar crossed Rs 10 lakh yesterday with a total net earning of Rs 750 crore. Approximately 751 crores. On Friday the film is on track to reach Rs. 800 crores, although we will ultimately know how it stacks up after the release of Border 2 two weeks from now.
Dhurandhar has dramatically emerged as the most watched original Hindi film in the post-pandemic era, with around 3.35 crore tickets sold. Although the collections are way ahead of the recent top grossers, the difference in terms of viewership is not that much. Apart from higher contributions from multiplexes, the film maintained increased ticket prices throughout its run, unlike most other films, which reduced their prices from the second Monday onwards. Dhurandhar finally reduced its prices last week. The film is going to cross 3.50 crore footfalls, although it seems a bit challenging to become the most watched original Hindi film in the last twenty-five years, surpassing Dangal’s 3.70 crore footfalls.
