Justin Bieber has arrived in Mumbai to perform at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s sangeet on July 5. IndiaToday.in has exclusively learned that the singer spent his early hours in India perfecting soundchecks and making video calls to his wife Hailey Bieber, who is expecting their first child.

IndiaToday.in has learned that after reaching Mumbai, Bieber FaceTimed Hailey and asked about her well-being. He also asked about India’s victory in the T20 World Cup.

For those who don’t know, Bieber is not new to the city. He came to Mumbai for his first concert in 2017, where he was criticised for lip-syncing. However, this time, sources told IndiaToday.in that Justin’s set list will be intimate and he is also planning to perform some songs acoustically (without backtrack).

Sources tell us that Bieber and his team have arranged for an indoor setup for soundchecks ahead of his big performance tonight at the NMACC.

The singer’s repertoire for Radhika and Ananth’s music will include fast-paced hits like ‘Peaches’ and ‘Baby’. Apart from this, there will also be soft romantic songs like ‘Love Yourself’.

Justin’s last live performance was in February 2024, where he performed a small set list for around 2,500 fans at Drake’s History nightclub. The performance was very special and attendees were heard praising his singing.

In September 2022, Justin canceled his world tour after he revealed that he had suffered facial paralysis. Since then, he has not performed in any arena or in front of a large audience.
