How Alia Bhatt managed to perform action scenes during her pregnancy

Alia Bhatt has undergone a lot of changes after giving birth to daughter Rhea. Her trainer Anshuka Parwani shared exclusive details about the actress’ workout routine and postpartum weight loss journey with India Today Digital.

Alia Bhatt has undergone a huge transformation after the birth of her daughter Rhea. Alia’s trainer Anshuka Parwani spoke exclusively to India Today Digital, where she shared details about the actress’ workout routine and her postpartum weight loss journey.

“Many husbands thank me for helping their wives have healthy babies. I still remember, Alia was shooting for her first international project, Heart of Stone. Alia had to do a lot of action sequences for that role and of course, at that time I knew that she was pregnant with Rhea,” Anshuka told.

She said, “Alia and I started prepping for the role when she was pregnant. In fact, when she was shooting for it, we were working remotely because unfortunately, I was not travelling with her at that time. It was Covid-19, so I would never train anyone online without awareness about their body and yoga.”

He further added, “The fact that Alia was pregnant and had to do action sequences – nobody would be comfortable training her online in such a situation. But since Alia has that kind of knowledge, during that stipulated period, we trained her remotely. I don’t think anyone could have told that she was pregnant while shooting for the film or when she was doing those action sequences. Alia sailed through it like a breeze. Her attitude of looking at things was literally everything because she knew that it was a natural process, and with a few adjustments here and there, it all became an easy task. I am not saying that it is a very simple process, but it is the right attitude that ultimately matters.”

Talking about the pregnancy workouts she designs for her B-Town clients, who often have a tight schedule and eventually need to get back in shape post-delivery, Anshuka informs, “Exercises during pregnancy are very restricted. Of course, there are a lot of fun things to do, but there are many things that need to be kept in mind, so we focus on strength and stamina. Postpartum, on the other hand, is a completely different game. It’s a full nine-month recovery phase, but a lot of people think that once the baby is born, they can immediately get back into action in forty days. But it’s a gradual process. We take the hormonal changes and physical changes into account. We are goal-oriented and follow a holistic approach by setting realistic goals and skipping crash diets or crazy workouts

Talking about the professional front, Alia Bhatt is all set for her upcoming film Jigra, which also stars Vedang Raina alongside her. The trailer of this much-awaited film is set to release on September 26. The film is directed by Vasan Bala.

Alia recently walked the ramp as the brand ambassador of L’Oreal at the Paris Fashion Week alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Camila Cabello, Eva Longoria and many other celebrities.
