His comment comes after an alleged agreement between Al Salvador and the Trump administration. The US is already taking custody of immigrants in federal jails as part of efforts to curb immigrants in federal jails. Facilities are in use in cities such as Los Angeles, Miami and Philadelphia, with Miami’s prison set to keep 500 prisoners. It already puts pressure on the stressful gel system, which is facing lack of employees, violence and poor infrastructure. With the limited capacity of the Ice, the administration is searching for alternative solutions.
US State Secretary Marco Rubio proposed Al Salvador’s proposal “the most unprecedented and extraordinary migrant agreement anywhere in the world”.
He said that Al Salvador agreed to accept his deported citizens, while even in criminal exile from any nationality, including members of notorious gangs such as MS -13 and Train D Argua.
Calling it a “extraordinary gesture of friendship”, Mr. Rubio also accepted legal obstacles, as the US Constitution prevents the exile of American citizens.
“We have a constitution … but it is a very generous proposal, and the administration must decide.”
