Actor Aamir Khan has indicated in his final film project, which may be a grand cinematic spectacle. The 60-year-old, who has talked about the desire to make ‘Mahabharata’ for a long time, said that the epic-drama could be his last film. “I hope I will die with my shoes …” he said while talking about the film. The ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’ actor feels that the grandeur of this project is going to be such that after making a film based on the ancient text of India by Rishi Ved Vyas, nothing else will have to have nothing else.

Superstar spoke about the sheer grandeur and emotional resonance of ‘Mahabharata’ in a podcast Raj ShamaniSpeaking about the scale of making epic on-screen, he said, “It is layered, there is emotion, it has scale, whatever you find in the world, you will find in ‘Mahabharata’.”

He further said, “Perhaps after doing so, I will feel that I have nothing left. I cannot do anything after that, because the content of this film is going to be like this.”

The actor concluded, “I hope I die with my shoes, but ever since you are asking, this is something that I can think about. Perhaps after that, I would feel that I don’t need to do anything else.”

In a previous interview with Hollywood reporterAamir talked about his vision for ‘Mahabharata’ and said, “This is one of my biggest ambitions. We will see who we should cast on the basis of which part we are suitable for.”

The actor further said, “I don’t think you can tell ‘Mahabharata’ in a film, so it will be many films. I am watching on a large scale.” Pointing that the film may require several directors, he concluded, “To complete it within a scheduled time, we will need more than one director.”

Aamir is currently gearing up for his sports drama ‘Sitare Camin Paar’, released on June 20, 2025. He will also be seen in Rajinikanth’s ‘Cool’ directed by Lokesh Kangraj.

Actor Sunny Deol’s period-drama is also producing ‘Lahore 1947’, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
