Introduction
Honor’s smartphone lineup has expanded rapidly over the years, but the Number series remains its main pillar. The midrange to premium family is the most successful so far and with this the new 600 generation will provide global markets with a complete set. The regular Honor 600 and Honor 600 Lite have been joined by the Pro version in overseas markets and now we have our review ready.
The “Pro” moniker is appropriate here. For one, instead of opting for a mid-range chipset like its vanilla Honor 600 sibling, the 600 Pro goes with a slightly older full-flagship silicon – the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

- various: Fingerprint reader (under the display, optical); Stereo speaker.
The other big upgrade comes in the camera department, where the Honor 600 Pro matches the regular 600’s solid 200MP main and 12MP autofocusing ultrawide shooter and adds a 3.5x telephoto camera.
Beyond that the two new 600 models have more similarities than differences. Both phones are well built with excellent materials and top-notch IP68/69K ratings. They share a “Goldilocks” shape with a 6.57″ display and thin bezels.
Other highlights of the 600 series include the impressively large battery pack – 6,400 mAh in Europe and 7,000 mAh elsewhere – excellent connectivity and stereo speakers. So on paper, the Honor 600 Pro meets all the standards, yet it still falls short of your typical flagship in terms of price. That’s what we like to see.
unbox
The Honor 600 Pro comes in a thin and simple two-piece cardboard box. There’s a cradle on the inside for the phone, and it’s made not of plastic but of rigid cardboard, which is great.
You don’t get any accessories in the box in Europe, where rules prevent Honor from bundling a charger initially. Our unit came with a passive Type-C to Type-C cable. At least it’s E-marked and can support up to 6A of current, which is crucial for reaching the 80W charging rate supported by the phone.
