Homecoming was the hardest: Amitabh Bachchan shares health update after surgery

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has shared a heartfelt health update after surgery, revealing that his toughest battle began only after he was discharged from the hospital.
Without revealing the reason behind the procedure, the 83-year-old actor reflected on the physical and emotional challenges of recovery in a blog post shared in the early hours of July 21. Bachchan said his surgery and hospital stay were handled by a team of skilled doctors and medical staff, but adjusting to life at home has proven to be the most demanding part of the journey.

He wrote, “A surgery in the hospital and in the ICU, under the supervision of skilled doctors and medical staff.. discharge.. and return home.”
The actor said that leaving the hospital does not mark the end of a difficult period.
“This period of homecoming is the most difficult phase physically, psychologically and practically,” he wrote.
Bachchan described the recovery period as physically exhausting, emotionally draining and practically challenging. He reflected on how illness can suddenly change one’s outlook, saying that even people who have spent their entire lives overcoming challenges eventually face moments of weakness.
Bachchan also talked about resilience, noting that every person reacts to setbacks differently. While some people fight adversity and emerge stronger, others choose to accept circumstances and move forward in their own way. He emphasized that there is no right or wrong approach, as each person deals with difficult stages differently.
He said, “You are a revered champion and one day a defeat stands in front of you.. This is the toughest phase of your life.. Some people face it.. Some people give up.. Those who try and are brave always remain champions.. Those who don’t, they adjust and live, existing in the glory of the past.. Every person makes a choice individually.. Neither of them did anything wrong. Is.”
The actor ended his note by urging his fans to stay healthy and happy.
Bachchan did not reveal what led to the surgery or give details about his current condition. However, his latest blog assured fans that he is now back home and focusing on his recovery.
The megastar is one of the most active actors in Indian cinema. Even after his recovery, Bachchan remains connected with fans through his regular blog posts and social media updates, often sharing updates on his life and work as well as personal thoughts.
