Macaulay Culkin remembers his on-screen mother, late actor Catherine O’Hara, in Home Alone. Sched’s Creek co-creator Dan Levy also paid tribute to O’Hara.
Following the death of Catherine O’Hara at the age of 71, colleagues and friends who worked with her during her acting career have paid tribute to her. Having spent more than fifty years collaborating with my father, Catherine was extended family to me before she took over the role. It’s hard to imagine a world without her. I will cherish every fun memory I had the privilege of making with her.”

Actress Catherine Zeta Jones remembered O’Hara by sharing a black-and-white photo of her on Instagram, writing, “Catherine O’Hara, a comedic genius and dramatic actress, a talent so rare and unique that she has inspired so many of us. Thank you Catherine. Rest in peace…(sic).”
Known for comedy, O’Hara also received critical praise for her dramatic roles. He earned an Emmy nomination for his turn in HBO’s the last of us And for his recent role as a Hollywood producer studio, Marking the final phase of a career that expanded his reputation beyond comedy.
O’Hara is survived by her husband, production designer Bo Welch, and their two sons, Matthew and Luke.
