Director Chris Columbus revealed his regret on Donald Trump’s cameo in ‘Home Alone 2’. He describes it as a ‘curse’ and a ‘albatros’ on the film.
Director Chris Columbus described the cameo of US President Donald Trump as a permanent regret in ‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’, calling it “curse” and “albatros” on the film.
In an interview with San francisco chronicleColumbus said, “It has become this curse. It has become the fact that it was not there. It has become an albatros for me. I wish it was gone.”
Trump appears in a seven-second scene in the 1992 sequel, where Macaul Kulkin’s character Kevin McLister, asks him for instructions inside the Plaza Hotel. “The bottom and left of the hall,” Trump responds.

Columbus said he would consider cutting the scene, but said, “I can’t bite it. If I bite it, I will probably be sent out of the country. I will not be considered fit to live in the United States, so I would have to go back or something else.”
