Director Shailesh Kolanu, known for his crime thrillers, is taking a different creative turn with his next project. On Valentine’s Day, February 14, they announced the title, lead cast and first look of their upcoming romantic entertainer emo emo ediWhich includes Roshan Meka and Preeti Mukundan.

Sharing the glimpse on The film, backed by Sithara Entertainment, is scheduled to release in Dussehra 2026. The title and visuals together hint towards a spontaneous, young love story.

The video begins with a light-hearted conversation between a mother and son, poking fun at Gen Z relationship jargon and the quirks of modern marriage. It then features the female lead listening to a classic song, subtly hinting at her emotional and romantic side.

After his period drama Champion, Roshan has now moved to a softer, contemporary space with this film. He plays the role of Abhay, a relatable boy-next-door navigating love in the Gen Z era. Preeti Mukundan, who debuted with Vishnu Manchu in the mythological film Kannappa, is seen making a new on-screen pairing as Apoorva.

with emo emo ediStep away from Kolanu’s deeply investigative voice Kill The franchise will explore the rom-com genre for the first time. The music of the film is by Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematography is by Vamsi Pachipulusu. Shooting is expected to start soon.
