Reminders of Him is an upcoming film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name. Starring Maika Monroe and Tyreek Withers in the lead roles, it is directed by Vanessa Cassville with a screenplay by writer and Lauren Levin. Speaking exclusively to Pinkvilla, the novelist had earlier shared how casting the male lead role came to her from the beginning, as she easily got into her laser wards.
Colleen Hoover was looking for an actor who was the right physical fit and had the right mindset as she would be the embodiment of the emotionally complex Ledger Ward. Tyreek Withers’ previous projects have given him the strength to be that and more, by completely immersing himself in that role. Speaking exclusively to Pinkvilla about what it was like to play the character, she said that it allowed her to reflect on her life experiences and develop a deeper understanding of love, loss and healing.

Having the opportunity to work with a bestselling author and the man who saw Ledger Ward’s idea come to life, he was an asset to Starr. “It was incredible to have Colleen there,” Withers said.
Sharing what kind of influence she has on set, especially with the roles she’s envisioned herself, she said, “She’s open and generous, and that gave me confidence. When the person creating the character tells you, ‘You’re Ledger,’ it allows you to trust your instincts completely.” His presence made his portrayal something bigger and better!

The film centers on a woman named Kenna Rowan who returns from seven years in prison after a car accident takes the life of her then-boyfriend Scotty Landry. She then meets Ledger Ward, a former NFL player who now owns a local bar, and the two go on a journey to understand each other, forming a strong bond.
Reminder of Him is all set to release in global theaters on March 13, 2026.
