Himani Shivpuri says #MeToo accused Alok Nath is ‘cultured’ as he doesn’t drink alcohol
In a recent interview, actress Himani Shivpuri spoke about the problematic behaviour of Alok Nath, who was previously accused of sexual harassment and rape during the #MeToo movement.
Recently, actress Himani Shivpuri has criticised actor Alok Nath for sexually harassing several women in the film industry. The veteran actor, who has collaborated with Nath in several successful projects, appeared on a YouTube show and spoke about his drinking habits. He revealed that he used to behave in a professional manner during the day, but as the evening progressed, he would get drunk and lose control over his behaviour.
Himani made this statement while talking to Siddharth Kannan on his show. She first recalled her early days at the National School of Drama (NSD) and revealed that there was one time when he misbehaved with her, but he never repeated the mistake after that. She said, “Except for one incident at the National School of Drama (NSD), I never had any problem with him. But, I used to hear from people that after a few drinks, he would become a different person.”
The popular actor said that Alok Nath becomes a different person when he starts drinking. “I have worked with him a lot before and the great thing about him is that when he is not drinking, he becomes a different person. cultured“His personality was like Jekyll and Hyde,” he said.

Himani shared an incident from the past when she was travelling with Nath for an award function outside the country. She revealed that he was even asked to get off the plane because he was drunk. “When we were travelling for an award function, he was drunk and lost control, and his wife kept telling him to calm down. I also told him to control himself or else he would be deboarded. He was deboarded once before because of his behaviour,” she revealed.
This is not the first time Himani has spoken about Alok Nath’s problematic behaviour towards women. Earlier, during the #MeToo movement in India, several women accused the actor of sexual harassment and rape. First, writer-producer Vinta Nanda alleged that Nath raped her by spiking her drink while shooting for a TV show. Later, actors Navneet Nishan, Deepika Amin and Sandhya Mridul also levelled allegations of sexual abuse against him.
