Liam Payne reportedly requested his girlfriend Kate Cassidy to live with him in Argentina during a stressful moment just before his untimely death. According to reports, the late One Direction singer was disappointed to learn that Cassidy was leaving the country without him.
A close friend of Cassidy told The Post that Payne did not want her to leave. The friend described how the pair’s conversation was more intense than expected, adding, “(Cassidy) says he begged her to stay.”
Liam went to support his former bandmate Niall Horan, who had a concert in Argentina on 2 October. The couple had planned to stay in the country for five days, but it was extended to two weeks. On TikTok, Cassidy later explained why she wanted to move back to the US, saying she didn’t like staying in one place for too long.
Cassidy was reportedly in a hurry to see her dog and this did not sit well with Payne. “She wanted to stay home with her dog. He didn’t like it at all. He was really moody about it,” the source told the outlet. Cassidy becomes frustrated and books her own return flight, further angering Payne.

The pair kept posting funny things during their trip, including Payne making fun of Cassidy for going home first. She shared a funny post about how Cassidy left her vacation early, but there was more to the story. However, Cassidy’s friend assures that their relationship is not in serious danger. They were with each other for about two years and were also having sexual intercourse.
According to the outlet, the source said Cassidy, too, is trying to deal with claims she was seen with prostitutes before Payne’s death.
Following the unfortunate news of Payne’s death, Cassidy expressed deep sadness and confusion, and pleaded for peace as he recovers from his loss. She later shared her final message on social media, which was dedicated to Payne and promised that she would always love him.
Witnesses allege that Liam Payne’s erratic behavior increased following Cassidy’s absence, claiming that he began behaving strangely while staying at the Casasur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires. The 31-year-old singer fell from the balcony of his room and died instantly due to multiple injuries and severe blood loss.
