In his statement, Varde said the allegations made by Raval in a recent podcast left him with no option but to publicly share his version of events.

After these allegations, I have no option left but to publicly justify the matter. I would like to share my version of the journey of oh my god 2As it actually happened,” he said.

Varde said that he initially met Rai for a different film. The two later became friends and often met at Rai’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. During one such meeting, Rai pitched a story idea that eventually became oh my god 2. Varde said that after Wakau Films acquired the script, he met Paresh Rawal at Rai’s request.

According to him, meetings were held to discuss casting Rawal in the film. During one such meeting, he informed the 71-year-old actor that the script would first have to be taken to Akshay Kumar as it was similar to him. Oh God.

“Then it became clear to me what Paresh was trying to do. He was trying to create a version of OMG under a different name, which is unethical and unprofessional. He was trying to steal someone else’s creation and property and use it as a cover. To me, this is nothing less than theft,” he said.

Varde also addressed Rawal’s claim that he had approached several actors with the script, only for them to reject it.

According to Varde, the actors rejected the project because they believed it was too similar to OMG and would require Akshay Kumar’s approval.

“Then I realized the script needed to be preserved and that’s when my company, Wakao Films, acquired the script,” said Varde.

He said that the script was registered in the name of Amit Rai and Rai was the sole writer of the film.

‘Akshay Kumar had tried to convince Paresh Rawal’

Varde said that despite the disagreement, Rawal was still the first actor the team approached for the film.

He also claimed that Akshay Kumar personally spoke to Rawal and tried to convince him to join the project. However, Raval reportedly refused to change his position.

“We waited for about two months, after which we moved forward,” Varde said.

He further said that Rawal is involved in this oh my god 2 Was only as an actor. He said, “Throughout this entire journey, I reiterate that Paresh’s involvement with the film was purely in an actor’s capacity and nothing else. Rawal said that he had discussed the concept with Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan, who reportedly rejected the project due to concerns that the subject matter might be controversial.
