Sex Education star Simone Ashley spoke out on the issue in a recent press conference. She said, “Haters are gonna hate, and I think we all agree on that.”

Ashley revealed that the Derry Girls actress is unfazed by the criticism and is “not letting it bother her.” The actress, who plays Kate Sharma on the show, told how her co-star’s upcoming career is “strong and fruitful”.

Simone revealed how much she believes in Nicola. “As does the world,” she added.

Nicola has addressed the criticism she has been receiving about her body in an interview with People. The star opened up about an incident where trolls alleged that her waist was photoshopped. Some netizens took to social media to claim that Nicola’s waist was photoshopped in a picture to make it look smaller. The actress recounted the incident, denying the rumour and saying that the photo was not edited.
