The USD 100 million deal with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix is not allegedly renewed. According to an internal formula in Hollywood, a major step of streaming platforms comes amid a change in Netflix’s business strategy.
According to The Sun’s reports, despite cancellation of his deal with Netflix, Duke and Duchess will still be able to release projects in cooperation.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s non-renewable contract with Netflix
Markle and Prince Harry’s contract with streaming giants will end in September. Throughout the agreement, the pair produced projects such as Polo, Love, Meghan and Docuseries Harry and Meghan, during the entire agreement, which was signed by former royal family members.
As news of contractual non-renovation, it comes after the release of a new engagement data report for Duchess’s lifestyle shows. According to the data, Markle’s show was viewed 5.3 million times and stood at the 383rd rank.
Among all the shows produced by the couple, Ducusery Harry and Meghan have been most seen. Expanding Netflix’s move, The Sun’s report mentions, “Netflix was clever that he found a hell of a lot of spectators for the first documentary series and knew, in reality, it would prove the stubborn of the material from the Montecito pair.”
