Karthi is currently set to shoot for his film Marshal directed by Tamees. While the actor was initially expected to start filming Kathy 2 in 2026, it seems that the sequel could be postponed once again, the director Sundar C with Sirutai Star is likely to allocate his dates.
Is Karthi giving her dates to Sundar C, because Cathi 2 of Lokesh Kanagarj can be delayed?
According to a report by Valai Pichu, because Lokesh Kanagaraja is likely to direct a film starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together, Kathy 2 may be delayed. With this development, the actor is expected to free the Karthi’s schedule, the director is beautiful C.
However, so far, it remains unconfirmed by manufacturers and is purely speculative. If the report comes true, the new project may start filming in December 2025.
Why is Kathy 2 expected to be delayed?
Initially, it was reported that Kathy 2 began production after completing his first film as a lead after Lokesh Kanagaraja, directed by Arun Mathenswaran. However, recently Buzz suggests that the cooli filmmaker has made a dual hero film to Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, both have allegedly given positive reply to it.
If the reports are accurate, the double hero project would move to the floor, when Lokesh wrapped the beginning of his acting. This is inadvertently delayed Kathy 2. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

Kathy 2 is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Kathy, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja. The first venture had an east-dosy, Dili story, which is forced to help a police officer as the mafia group is hot on their heel.
The film has a contingent of actors of actors like Narayan, Arjun Das, Harish Utman, George Marine and many more important roles in the lead role.
The action thriller marked the first installment in Lokesh Kanagarj Cinematic Universe (LCU), which was later starred by Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Leo starring Thalapati Vijay.
Karthi’s next release
Karthi hopes that the next time he gets hit on a big screen with his film, Via Vathiyar. Originally planned for Pongal, the film was postponed for unknown reasons and is now likely to be released by the end of 2025.
Looking forward, the actor has a sequel film Sardar 2 in post-production. However, an official release date has not been specified for PS Mithran direction.
