Actress Emma Watson, known for her role as a Harmine Granger in Harry Potter Films, has been banned from driving for six months after being caught at a fast pace.
The 35 -year -old was driving at 38mph in 30mph zone behind a blue Audi wheel in Oxford on 31 July 2023.
Prior to this incident, Watson had already had nine penalty points on his license. The accumulation of the points disqualified him, as confirmed during a five -minute hearing in the High Vomb Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
Watson did not attend the hearing, but his lawyer, Mark Halam, confirmed that he was capable of paying a fine. The court ordered him to pay a total of 1,044.
Zo Vanmaker also fined for speed
On the same day, another Harry Potter alum, Zo Wanmekar, who portrayed Madam Huch, was also convicted for another fast crime.
According to the BBC, the 76 -year -old Vanmaker was caught driving at 46MPH in 40mph zone on M4 on M4 in Newbury, Berkshire on 7 August 2024.
Similar to Watson, Vanmaker also scored nine points on his license before committing crime. He was also fined 1,044, and driving was banned for six months.
His lawyer, Duncan Jones, said that the vanmaker did not expect any special spread and was happy with the court’s decision.
Watson has recently stepped back from acting to focus on his studies and his sustainable brand. Meanwhile, a new Harry Potter television series is in production with a fresh artists. The vanmaker has continued its work in theater and television.
