Ahead of Hrithik Roshan’s 52nd birthday on January 10, Sussanne Khan’s father Sanjay Khan revealed how the actor’s separation from Sussanne was never bitter. On Friday, Sanjay described meeting the actor for the first time when he was a teenager and mentioned the respectful and enduring bond formed between the families.

In an emotional Instagram post, Sanjay wrote, “I first met Hrithik Roshan as a teenager, introduced to him through Zayed. At that time, I needed a new bicycle for my morning ride and I told Zayed about it. Smiling, he replied, ‘Hrithik is your guy for advice on this.’

“True to his word, Hrithik visited one morning and took me through the latest models in detail – like the trendy three-speed gear system. His explanations were crystal clear, precise and delivered with a cool, honest confidence that impressed me. Little did I know that this young man would one day marry my daughter Sussanne and join our family,” she added.

Sanjay described it in his message war 2 The actor is said to be “focused, respectful and an eternal student of his art”.

Reflecting further, Sanjay wrote, “Our informal conversation revealed that beneath the stardom is a disciplined professional: focused, respectful and eager for insight. He would ask my views on film life, listening intently with those sharp, absorbing eyes. I have told longtime friends that his success comes from unwavering dedication and craft. Today, Hrithik stands as one of Bollywood’s finest actors, stars and eternal students (sic) of his art.”

Addressing Hrithik and Sussanne’s relationship, he further wrote, “My happiness comes from Sussanne, grandchildren Rehaan and Hridhaan – beautiful, wonderful boys who have grown up with their signature honesty. Their separation was beautiful, never bitter. I proudly joke with friends that they have gifted Hrithik “two aces of spades.”

He ended the post, “On January 10, as millions celebrate, I wish Hrithik a very happy birthday filled with health, peace, happiness and prosperity. Happy Birthday, Hrithik. I love you, son.”

Hrithik and Sussanne were married in a private ceremony in Bengaluru in December 2000. They announced their separation in December 2013 and the divorce was finalized in November 2014, but remained committed to co-parenting their sons.
