Reliance Industries launched its 48th annual general meeting (AGM) in 2025 Cloud-based Computer Services, JioPC. The company believes that the new product can change the way people in India reach computing power that provides a complete desktop experience through the JIO set-top box.
JioPC essentially converts a television into a functional computer. All required is a jiofiber or a Jio set-top box attached to Jioirfiber, as well as with a keyboard and mouse. The system works directly from the cloud of Jio, which removes the requirement of physical CPU or separate hardware investment. Since the device is actually operated, Reliance says that the computer is updated, safe, and can be scaled for additional storage, memory or performance whenever necessary.
Explaining the concept, Akash Ambani, president of Reliance Jio, said, “JioPC is the revolutionary product that converts your TV, or any other screen into a full-feature, A-Ready computer. You can easily start by adding a keyboard to your Jio set-top box. You cannot do a virtual computer.
Ambani further said that the purpose of JioPC is to make high-demonstration computing accessible to all. “For RST time, any demand in India can tap in the calculation of high-demonstrations. You can go to the documents to run advanced simulation-all on the same JIOPC. JIOPC is not only about giving computers to people.
How Jiopc works
The establishment of JIOPC is straight. Once a keyboard is connected to the Jio set-top box, the virtual computer automatically becomes active. The platform is powered by Jio’s cloud and no additional activation fee is required under the current launch offer. Users only need to start using it for a television or large screen, an active internet connection JioFiber or Jioairfiber, a set-top box and a JioPC plan.
Since the computer is cloud-operated, there is no concern about old hardware or operating system support. Security updates and performance improvement are handled remotely, so Reliance claims that the system is always updated.
JioPC membership plan
Reliance has already rolled five membership plans on its website. The base plan is priced at Rs 599 per month (plus GST) and provides unlimited use with 8 GB RAM and 100 GB cloud storage. The two -month plan is available at Rs 999, while the six -month plan is priced at Rs 2,499 with an additional two months validity. For long -term users, there is a 12 -month option, priced at Rs 4,599, including a validity of three additional months.
JIOPC setup box: specifications and use
The JIOPC setup box is launched with the following specifications: 4-core CPU, 8GB RAM and 100GB cloud storage. It runs on Ubuntu (Linux) operating system and provides unlimited use in all plans.
